MOVIE
6/14/06 - Hedwig and the Angry Inch

An anatomically incorrect rock odyssey - Hedwig, born a boy named Hansel in East Berlin, fell in love with an American G.I. and underwent a sex-change operation in order to marry him and flee to the West. Unfortunately, nothing worked out quite as it was supposed to and, years later, Hedwig is leading her rock band on a tour of the U.S., telling her life story through a series of concerts at dive restaurants. Her tour dates coincide with those of arena-rock star Tommy Gnosis, a wide-eyed boy who once loved Hedwig ... but then left, taking all her songs with him. (A high-strung transsexual and a Trent Reznor wannabe ... you have to see it to believe it.)

To try to relax, he goes to a hypno-therapist, who puts him in a state of bliss ... then the therapist drops dead. What happens when a cubicle drone suddenly finds the freedom to let it all go? 7/5/06 - Blue Velvet

It's a strange world - A young man returns to his home town after being away and discovers a severed human ear in a field. Not satisfied with the police's pace to solve where it came from, he and the police detective's daughter carry out their own investigation. The object of his investigation turns out to be a beautiful, seductive, and mysterious woman involved with a violent - and perversely evil - man. (David Lynch at his best: Discovering what lies beneath the idyllic suburban landscape of America.)
