What a load of horse puckey. It’s against a store’s Merchant Agreement with both VISA and MasterCard to require a minimum purchase on a credit card.

Thanks to this post on NonToxicReviews and their link to a handy, credit card-sized .pdf for your wallet, you can now argue the point with any merchant who says you can’t get a $1 pack of gum because they require a minimum purchase amount to swipe your card.

Knowing your rights is always a good thing, no?
