I made this in answer to a graphic that is similar in concept, but much more religiously-themed. I lay no claim to the original, nor is any copyright infringement intended.
On the other hand …
… and who’s been better at advertising for the last few thousand years than religion?
For anyone who believes current conservative economic policy is capable of balancing the budget, here’s former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich – who has written most of his 13 books on the topic – on Romney’s fiscal plans.
[Romney] … would restore the military budget, slash Medicare (turning it into vouchers that shift costs to the elderly) and Medicaid (turning it over to the states but without enough money to keep it going), cut programs for the poor (food stamps, Pell grants, etc), and yet at the same time cut even more taxes on the super rich … Romney’s plan would also — according to the non-partisan Center for Budget and Policy Priorities — increase the federal budget deficit by more than $3 trillion over the next ten years [emphasis mine].
And if you’re voting for the rich white man because Obama’s “not like me/us,” well … I can read between the lines, even if you can’t, but there is something important you should know:
I adore it when friends visit from out of town. It gives the excuse to explore, drink, carouse, eat, party, and enjoy all types of mayhem, hijinks, and shenanigans.
What a house guest doesn’t allow for is a whole lot of writing, posting, or other computer-related activities. Not a complaint, just a simple fact.
I’m glad I took the time off because my friends? THEY ROCK.
